Terms of Use

The terms that govern your use of this website. Work we perform for a client is governed by a separate written agreement, not by these terms.

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and K9 Interdiction and Detection Services (“K9IDS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using k9ids.com, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.

2. What This Website Is

This website exists to describe the detection canine services K9IDS offers and to let prospective clients contact us. Everything on it is general information for that purpose.

Nothing on this website is an offer, a quote, a contract, or a guarantee of availability. Descriptions of services here are general and may not reflect what is appropriate or available for your specific facility. Any actual work is governed exclusively by a separate written agreement signed by K9IDS and the client, and that agreement — not this website — defines the scope, standards, pricing, and obligations of both parties. Where this website and a signed agreement differ, the signed agreement controls.

K9IDS is based in California’s Central Valley and serves the entire United States. Where this site describes when we can be booked (24 hours a day, by appointment), how quickly we can reach a site (under six hours, depending on distance), or what work outside our home region involves (a two-day minimum engagement), those statements describe how we operate generally. They remain subject to distance, travel, and scheduling, and they become commitments to you only in a signed agreement.

3. Important Notice About Detection Services

Information on this website about searches, screening, school policy, or related topics is general information only and is not legal advice. Laws governing searches and screening differ from state to state and from one type of institution to the next, and depend heavily on the specific facts and on applicable federal, state, and local law. Guidance written for a general audience cannot account for the law where your facility sits. You should consult your own legal counsel about your obligations before implementing any screening program.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to this site, its server, or any connected system
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of this site or breach its security measures
  • Use automated systems to scrape, harvest, or overload the site or its contact form
  • Submit false, misleading, threatening, or unlawful information through our contact form
  • Transmit malware or any code intended to damage or disrupt this site
  • Use this site or its content to compete with or misrepresent K9IDS

We may suspend or block access to this website, and take any other step available to us under applicable law, if we believe this section has been violated. We may do so without notice.

6. Intellectual Property

The content, design, layout, text, graphics, and branding on this website are the property of K9IDS and are protected by copyright and trademark law, except where otherwise noted. You may view and print pages for your own internal, non-commercial evaluation of our services. You may not otherwise reproduce, republish, distribute, or create derivative works from this site’s content without our prior written permission.

Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated spam and SendGrid to deliver your message to us. Your use of the contact form is therefore also subject to those providers’ terms and privacy policies. We may link to other websites for convenience; we do not control them, do not endorse them by linking, and are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Privacy

Our handling of information you submit is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

This website is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that this site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that the information on it is complete, accurate, or current at any given moment.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, K9IDS and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — this website, regardless of the legal theory and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. This section applies to your use of the website; liability arising from services performed for a client is addressed in that client’s written service agreement.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless K9IDS and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or reasonable legal fees arising out of your misuse of this website or your violation of these terms or of any applicable law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. Revisions take effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date above will change. Your continued use of the site after that date means you accept the revised terms.

13. Governing Law and Venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute arising from these terms or your use of this website will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

This section governs your use of this website, and applies wherever you access it from. It does not set the governing law or venue for work performed under a signed service agreement; that agreement governs its own terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full force.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms — including a request for permission under section 6 — can be sent through our contact form, by email to info@k9ids.com, or by phone at (559) 507-2076.
